Accurate, Useful Information Never Goes Out of  Style

More From The REPTILES Magazine Review:

"Author Barry Nielsen has kept snakes for many years, and in this book he shares practical, reliable information that is not included in typical snake books."

"This book is written in a conversational style and is very user friendly.  Nielsen...is obviously a man who has learned from trial and error and personal experience--something not true of all snake book writers these days."

"While reading this book, I repeatedly agreed with finer points and little-known tips.  There were even some concepts that seemed logical but which I had never considered."

"If you own snakes now, or if you are merely entertaining the notion of buying one, you owe it to yourself to read this book."

Phillip Samuelson, Editor of  REPTILES
August, 1996, pg. 106

Back Cover

This book is loaded with valuable information that isn't printed anywhere else. The author's practical approach simplifies the all-important basics for anyone who owns a snake.  But more than that, this comprehensive work reveals the finer points of pet snake care that are still unknown even to many experienced hobbyists.

Throughout SNAKE KEEPING, Mr. Nielsen answers the most probing questions that have been asked of him over the past several years.  The best and most efficient techniques are clearly explained in easy-to-read language.

You can get even more enjoyment from your snakes by learning better ways to keep them healthy and well fed.  You'll also find out how to prevent problems by avoiding common mistakes.  This useful book will be referred back to, time and time again.

MEET THE AUTHOR
Back in the 1960's, at the age of seven years, the author convinced his parents to buy him his first snake.  Barry read everything about snakes that he could find, and he enthusiastically passed this information on to anyone else who would listen.  By the time he was eleven years old, the annual "snake talk" Barry had been giving in school had grown into an hour long slide show and live snake demonstration.
His fascination with snakes as a child has turned into his life's work as an adult.  Barry's current activities include snake breeding, continuing education, and conservation of snakes and other important natural resources.
